Loropetalum Ruby

Has a more compact, rounded appearance with shiny ruby red young leaves. Leaves are smaller than the other chinese varieties. Ruby is probably the smallest growing loropetalum available. Great to use for foundation plantings; however, periodical pruning will be neccessary. Can be a sub for barberry or nandina. Bright pink flowers adorn this plant in the spring.
